Urban Decay opens West LA store in updated Century City mall

Urban Decay has opened a new store at the Westfield Century City mall, which is currently undergoing a $1 billion dollar transformation in West LA.

The grand opening of the new Urban Decay store took place on September 8 and 9. The first 100 customers on both days received a free Urban Decay Naked palette with their $75 purchase.

David Ruddick, Westfield’s executive vice president of leasing said, “As consumer tastes and trends change in the industry, Westfield is keeping pace with a focus on careful curation and on introducing new concepts and influencer brands not available anywhere else.”

Urban Decay joins new retailers moving into the mall including Abercrombie & Fitch, Kate Spade, Joie, Chan Luu and Zadig & Voltaire. In addition to new brands like Lululemon, Vineyard Vines and John Varvatos, Macy's and Bloomingdale's were renovated. A new full line Nordstrom will open there on October 3rd.

The Newport Beach-based brand has been in existence for twenty years and now carries an assortment of eye, lip and face cosmetics. It operates as a subsidiary of L'Oreal.

This is Urban Decay's fifth standalone branded store in Southern California. Additional locations are housed as shop in shops within Sephora, Ulta and Macy's stores. The new Westfield Century City store is located at 10250 Santa Monica Blvd, Suite 1900.

The new Urban Decay store will host product launches and events, the next of which is a mascara event on September 16th.
