Walgreens Boots Alliance announces new appointment

Walgreens Boots Alliance recently announced the appointment of Kimberly R. Scardino as its new Senior Vice President, Global Controller and Chief Accounting Officer, effective immediately.

Scardino previously served at American Express Company as Senior Vice President and Americas controller from June 2012 to March 2015. She also served as vice president, global head of SOX Compliance and vice president and chief accounting officer of American Express Credit Corp. Prior to American Express, she served at Credit Suisse Group and Lyondell Chemical Company, and she started her career at Arthur Andersen LLP.

Scardino will report directly to George Fairweather, the executive vice president and global chief financial officer of Walgreens Boots Alliance.
