Parisian trade shows are back with fresh verve. Tranoï is returning to Palais Brongniart, Première Classe promises a pre-pandemic atmosphere again, and Woman will be staged at Oddity, a venue in central Paris.
From 25 to 27 June, during Paris Fashion Week Men's, the Tranoï trade show will run at the Palais de Tokyo. The event will feature 22 brands presenting their latest menswear offerings and women's pre-collections.
Trade show organisers have been forced to cancel the events planned for June, and are reviewing their plans. Among the options, postponements and ramped-up virtual solutions, as the end of lock-down remains uncertain.
The Paris Fashion Week, with its related events and trade shows, ended on March 3 with a slump in attendance. But the Covid-19 epidemic has since escalated in France, suggesting the result should be put in perspective.
After three cancellations announced for Milan, another six Chinese designers are unable to participate in Paris Fashion Week due to the coronavirus pandemic. Dawei, however, will be present with a show on February 25.
Paris Fashion Week opened on Monday 23 September, and the Première Classe, Woman, Tranoï and Splash trade shows will follow suit at the end of the week, attracting buyers who came to the French capital for the event.
