Supima, the non-profit organization that promotes the use of what many regard as the cashmere of cotton, will stage a live joint runway show during next month’s New York Fashion Week, hosted by stylist Law Roach.
Amanda Forastieri of Drexel University has won the 2020 Supima Design Competition, one of fashion’s leading prizes for student designers. She has received a $10,000 prize from Supima to kick-start her design career.
Supima, the hyper quality American cotton company, has revealed the names of the finalists and jury for its 12th Annual Supima Design Competition, to be staged 59 Chelsea Piers on the Hudson River on Thursday, Sept. 5.
For its third annual event, TheCurvyCon will take place during New York Fashion Week. In addition to its array of panels and pop-up shops, the plus-size fashion convention will host a live-stream on Yahoo Style.
The Met's Costume Institute aims to set new records with this year's spring exhibition that explores the influential designs and works of the revered Rei Kawakubo. The exhibit runs from May 4 to September 4.
Mohapatra and Roy will be featured at the fashion week on March 17 and 18, respectively. Both designers will also join Fern Mallis on the Fashion Panel to determine the winner of the 2017 Emerging Designer Competition.
