Fast-growing sportswear company Gymshark has filed its accounts for the year to July 31, 2021 and they showed the business continuing to prosper even in a difficult time hit by lockdowns and weak consumer sentiment.
Streetwear brand Hera has appointed its debut global ambassador — rapper J Fado — as part of its “new journey to create and foster relationships with ambassadors who represent the diverse cultural make-up of the UK”.
Gymshark is restructuring its business with 121 jobs at risk in its global operation. That adds up to more than 10% of its staff, but the firm is also planning to create more than 100 new roles as it continues to grow.
In a further sign of just how big the Gymshark brand has become in just a short period of time, news emerged on Wednesday that the label is to open its first flagship store in a prime spot on Regent Street next summer.
Fast-growing Gymshark has taken on serial entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk as an advisor to its board. He’ll add expertise in e-tail, digital marketing, overall business strategy and more with a specific focus on the US.
We could be hearing a lot more from streetwear brand Hera London in the near future with Gymshark director and ex-Chairman Paul Richardson having bought control of the streetwear firm. He’s also now Executive Chairman.
