The French online event sales group has reportedly generated a revenue of nearly €700 million in 2020, well up from the €616 million reached in 2019, notably thanks to Q4 results that exceeded expectations.
The French event sales website, set to publish its H1 results on July 27, is anticipating that its revenue in the period will reach between €301 million and €303 million, having been €302 million a year ago.
Eric and Michael Dayan, co-founders of Showroomprivé, who bought the rights to the Sonia Rykiel brand after the label's liquidation, are another instance of e-entrepreneurs taking over a renowned French fashion label.
Following the company's liquidation, the Sonia Rykiel brand was put up for auction. FashionNetwork has learnt that it is brothers Eric and Michael Dayan, two of Showroomprivé's founders, that have purchased the label.
The online flash sale platform has announced a strategic partnership with Carrefour, which has sealed the deal by buying the 17% stake acquired by Conforama – a subsidiary of the Steinhoff group – last summmer.
