Like clockwork, Watches of Switzerland Group’s latest results continued to tick consistently higher. There was another strong performance from the luxury watches and jewellery retail group for the latest half-year.
If there was an award for the best-performing retailer throughout the pandemic and beyond, Watches of Switzerland would be at least shortlisted. It has reported yet another "strong performance", this time for H1.
What a good time to join Watches of Switzerland. The high-flying UK-based but internationally-focused retail group has appointed William Floydd as chief financial officer. His joining date has yet to be determined.
Watches of Switzerland issued an ambitious strategy update on Thursday and aims to accelerate its growth by strengthening its UK luxury watch leadership, as well as becoming market leader in the US and entering the EU.
How’s this for an end-of-year trading statement, given the 12 months retail’s had? Watches of Switzerland Group enjoyed “robust” UK trading together with an “outstanding” US performance for both Q4 and the full year.
