Gareth Pugh-Fashion Show Ready to Wear Spring-Summer 2016 in London with interview

Gareth pugh wanted his style to honour the famous district of soho, which is the chosen home for london fashion week this season. the drag queens couture has a crazy look in their draped or fringed dress and their latex tights- a tribute to the many local sex shops around - . the designer adds lucky charm pieces, ending in evening dress, without forgetting star shaped glasses, extravagant make-up... mostly a collection where red dominates, gareth pugh wanted to denounce the influx of promoters wanting to change this district renowned for its bars and clubs, where anything’s possible at night time…itw gareth pughthat was the idea, i knew the bfc were moving here when i first started designing the collection so it helped me to imagine what i wanted to do for the show because i love soho, soho is where i went to st martins, it’s a big part of my london education so it felt really great to come back and do something fun. for the collection we wanted the whole thing to seem quite polished and slick but also quite disturbing and a little bit dark, so we add the stocking and the makeup. we wanted them to look a little bit grotesque, in a very glamourous way.i like red a lot, it’s strength and power and danger and blood, there are a lot of reasons why i love red. music from the show
