The ski trend: outfits adaptable to the city

access_time 00:02:23

Skiing meets street. outfits that were once destined for the mountain are now working for the everyday, a cross between fireside comfort and urban enjoyment. puffers are never-ending in the shows, with each designer proposing a styled version, in varying colours, lengths and materials. no longer to be seen on the slopes alone. from now on these outfits are adaptable to the city and vice versa, ski outfits are becoming so popular that we’re keeping them for outings. this is certainly the case for the brand the north face, who’s seducing the sporty as well as the youth. or again, fusalp, who energizes its latest collection with the model constance jablonski, dancing in front of the cameras in pop toned outfits. without forgetting rossignol, the famous brand with tricolor strips, opening pop-up stores during the winter season in big cities such as milan and paris and playing with its knowledge of performance to offer elegance both on and off the slopes. interview with alessandro locatelli :today, it’s not just about the performance, obviously it must looks good, meaning that when you look in the mirror, you feel good. especially if we’re talking about clothing, it must be well-cut, so we feel even better. our position is that you should have an outfit which accompanies the day, and maybe even the days afterwards, when you return to paris. elegance is essential for the ‘french’ aspect. we’re in france, we’re obviously very elegant in that sense and with sport we’re really seeking a link towards modernity and the contemporary, so why not a five pocket for skiing? we even have different styles of jacket, maybe it’s a leather bomber, maybe it’s a beautiful short puffer, or long, a parka. it’s completely possible to keep that ski vibe and you’ll obviously need protection from the cold, rain and snow so afterwards, you can take this piece back to the city where you’ll find a more modern aesthetic. music royalty free: bandit & nikit 2017
