Artistic director: jason wu inspiration: the last collection from jason wu, who is leaving hugo boss after five years. a more intimate collection, composed of 16 signature looks. collection: a modern woman, with a jason wu touch on the detailing of some grey tailored trousers, and the dashes of colour, on the quilted effect of a top, the slightly offset sides on the fronts of the skirts, on the silk satin, pleated dresses and on a sleeveless jacket coordinated with loose trousers. to note: the big wool jumpers in electric blue, with a zipped collar which is worn over loose oversized check trousers. plus, the chic yellow used for a dress. interview with jason wu:i think it has to feel modern, and i think that’s how women want to dress now, they want to look modern, they want something elevated and very sophisticated. i wanted to make sure that the collection was beautiful and it was just beautifully made clothes, it wasn’t about a bigger concept, it was just about making clothes that women covet, that are beautifully made, beautifully tailored and that highlight the company’s deep roots in tailoring. i’m happy to have been able to have done that after five years being with the brand. she has a real place in the fashion world and we’ve helped her to establish her identity and she’s going to thrive from here on out. music from the show (for use only in context of the show, under cover of the right to information
