Artistic director: francesco rissoinspiration: nature at the heart of the creative processcollection: the shock of colours and prints with silhouettes with tropical patterns and vitamin tints. work on cutting and creating clothes that are draped or tied. volume is shown on the back and with oversized jackets and blousons and the knitted fabric opens on one shoulder. the leather is decorated with hand-painted flowers, a monochrome leather skirt is worn on a cotton petticoat. for the evening, the taffeta brings a certain preciousness and elegance to the silhouette.to note: the hair is painted and topped with flowers, the area of the fashion show is created by the artist judith hopf and is reminiscent of a jungle. focus on large bags and huge earrings. interviews :francesco risso :the collection actually has many references to ethnical constructions or haute-couture construction where old couture was invented, in a time where man was making it and man was structuring the woman, making it quite fit and quite impossible to move. so, a lot was about freeing that woman from the structure, making it free, making it almost like in a carnival, like liberated. most of the prints you see have been made in the studio by us, by my team, by the people who work with me, and we literally transformed ourselves pretending to be new “fauve”, savages, painting leaves and flowers and exploding them in an ecstatic sort of way and some of the pieces are actually really painted on like the leathers, or the final dresses that are recuperated taffetas from all the archives, or some of the taffetas are actually recycled from plastic bottles so there’s a lot of working to that. we’ve done projects in the past that are dedicated to making things in a different way.renzo rosso : you know i was so happy because francesco has taken more and more position into the new modern, and is becoming fresh and more sustainable, so in line with the way the world must be going so i am very happy to have francesco on board and also, it’s a magical moment for the group because everything around our group is starting to go in the right direction. music from the show (for use only in context of the show, under cover of the right to information).
